It's no secret my top goal is to travel. It's the reason for this blog. It's a passion I'm working to discover! The following are the top ten places I'd like to visit (currently, at least!):

1. London, England
Ever since I was a little kid, I've grown up watching British TV shows. From older Britcoms to Doctor Who to Sherlock to Downton Abbey, we used to watch them all. I also have been reading Agatha Christie novels since before I can remember. Because of this, I grew up with the fascination of all things British. Add to that the history, the monarchy, and the accents - I was sold as a hopeless Anglophile. I had planned on studying abroad in London, but it just didn't happen. This city and country make the very top of my list!

2. Banff, Canada
I need to see this place for my own eyes to make sure it's real. Over the past year, I've seen videos and photos of Banff National Park, and I honestly can't believe it. The towering mountains and bright blue water are shockingly beautiful and just doesn't look real. Especially now that I live in flat Florida, the mountains call me!

3. Italy
I could probably thank my Italian cousins or the Lizzie McGuire Movie for this wish. Once again, the history draws me in. Yes, I was that child reading books about gladiators and Mt. Vesuvius in the elementary school library. The food is, of course, an added bonus!

4. Ireland
I am very Irish. In my family, we've got Mulligans, O'Connors, and Tullochs. My parents were fortunate to visit Ireland years ago and ever since then, I've wanted to go as well. I'd love to see the rolling hills and giant cliffs, taste some Guinness at a real Irish pub, and kiss the Blarney stone. Let's go!

5. Greece
Beautiful water, pristine white buildings, and nice weather? Sign me up! This has always been a place I've wanted to visit because of the history and mythology. Plus, who doesn't want to sing 'Dancing Queen' while running around town? May all your Mamma Mia dreams come true.

6. Amsterdam
A city full of canals, bicycles, and pretty buildings - it sounds like a dream! I just want to walk through tulip fields and ride my bike to the local cafes. Is that too much to ask?

7. Seattle, Washington
And we're back in the Pacific Northwest. I'll be honest and say that the main reason for wanting to visit Seattle is Grey's Anatomy. I know, I know, that's lame. But it's such a great show! Plus, a rainy city by the water sounds perfectly lovely. Race you to the Space Needle!

8. Egypt
If you haven't noticed, history fascinates me to no end. I've always loved learning about what life was like 50, 500, 5000 years ago. What better place to do that than Egypt? The center of ancient civilization, this country holds the key to so much interesting history I'd love to explore. Pyramids, the Nile, and hieroglyphics, galore!

9. Tokyo, Japan
A big draw of this city for me is Tokyo Disney. As a Disney person, I can appreciate the amount of money and effort it took to make this theme park, and I'd love to visit! Plus, I'd love to try real Japanese food and see the cherry blossoms bloom.

10. Iceland
In high school, I did a sociology project on Reykjavík and ever since then, I've wanted to go. Viking history, beautiful architecture, and a geothermal Blue Lagoon spa get this location into my top 10.

Honorable mentions: Disneyland; Hawaii; Paris, France; Vienna, Austria; Alaska; Montana; San Francisco; etc.
And that's it! Well, it's not. There are so many places I want to visit that it was pretty hard to narrow it down to just 10. I would really love to as many countries and cities in the world as I can. What destinations make your top 10 list?!
